Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2018 at the St. Edward Catholic Church in St. Edward, NE with Msgr. Ralph Steffensmeier and Deacon Harlan Long officiating.  Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, St. Edward, NE. Visitation will be 4-6 pm Sunday at the church with a 6:00 p.m. Wake Service.

Jo Ann Morse, 57 of Lincoln, NE passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018.

A graveside Celebration of Life and committal service with military honors will be held at the St. Bonaventure Catholic Cemetery in Raeville, NE on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.  A luncheon will follow.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to family members which will be sent to a charity(ies) in the future in Jo Ann’s name.

Jo Ann Morse was born December 29, 1960 in Neligh, NE.  She grew up in Raeville, NE.  She attended St. John Berchmans Grade School in Raeville and graduated in May 1979 from Pope John XXIII Central Catholic High School in Elgin. 

Jo Ann served in the U.S. Army from November 1980 - February 1988 when she was Honorably discharged.  Jo Ann was employed with the State of Nebraska for 23.5 years, the last 9 years with the Nebraska State Patrol. 

She is survived by her son Joshua Torres (wife Venessa & family), Lincoln; grandson Dominic Morse, Lincoln ; mother Mildred Greitens, Norfolk; sisters Mary Borer (husband Dan), Raymond and Susan Collins, Norfolk; brothers Will Greitens (wife Rose), Fremont and Tom Greitens (wife Deb), Lincoln; and life partner Ernest L. Murillo, Lincoln.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her father John Greitens and brother Mark Henry.

Funeral Services For Sharon Peterson

Sharon Peterson, 70,  passed away April 4, 2018 at her home in Escondido, CA.
A memorial service will be held in Newman Grove at a later date.

Sharon (Herbert) Peterson was born August 20, 1947, in El Paso, Texas, to Robert and Lucille (Schwager) Herbert.

She graduated from Newman Grove High School in 1965 and then attended Casper Community College in Casper Wyoming.

She married Larry Peterson, son of Kenneth and Esther (Anderson) Peterson in 1967.  To this union four children were born, John (Teresa, Jason, Craig) Peterson, Boise, ID; Colleen (Erin, Ryan) Netuschil, Highlands Ranch, CO; James, Highlands Ranch, CO; JoDeen, Rancho Penasquitos, CA.

She was an Accountant for GenProbe Inc., a medical manufacturing company in San Diego until her retirement and then began traveling with family for several years to fulfill her Bucket list. Trips included Europe and several western states including Hawaii in 2017 to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary.

She loved her Bingo and Wheel of Fortune Slots, but mostly she loved her children and grandchildren who brought her many years of happiness and joy.

In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by her brother, Raymond Herbert, of Newman Grove, Nebraska.  She was preceded in death by her mother.

Sharon will be loved and missed greatly, but will be in our hearts forever. ​

Wilma B. Sup, 95, of Albion, NE, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society in Albion, NE.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 16, 2018, at the United Church of Christ Congregational in Albion, NE, with Rev. Mary Avidano officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Sunday, at Levander Funeral Home of Albion, NE. 

Wilma Bessie Moore was born in Albion, NE, August 12, 1922, the daughter of Marion Moore and Bessie (Reynoldson) Moore. Wilma graduated from Albion High School in 1940. She married Rudy E. Sup on August 24, 1941, in Grenta, NE. To this union, four sons were born. She became a member of the United Church of Christ in 1955 where she taught Sunday school.

Wilma enjoyed a variety of social activities: bowling, golfing, playing bridge, and attending her grandchildren’s activities. She was a homemaker and worked in the family hatchery as well as the Albion Livestock Market. She was always dressed to impress in skirts, heels, and matching jewelry.

Wilma is survived by two sons: Mark (Sally) Sup of Albion, NE; Craig (Sara) Sup of Kearney, NE; daughter-in-law: Betty Sup of Omaha, NE; sister: Maxine Frenzen of Longmont, CO; brother-in-law: Gordon Dahlgren of Scottsdale, AZ; ten grandchildren: Nicole (Brian) Deprez, Joel (Angela) Sup, Katie (Chris) Sup Rezac, Teresa (Jesse) Luetkenhaus, Kara (Stanley) Loux, Sheila Sup, Halley (Bryan) Miller, Mike (Maia) Sup, Rudi (Nick) Talbott, and Markie Sup; thirteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
​
She was preceded in death by her husband Rudy; Sons: Gary and Ray Dean; Sisters: Inez Dahlgren and Velma Haynes; Brother: Ragene Moore. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Albion, NE with Fr. Mark Tomasiewicz officiating. Burial will be at the parish cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from  5-7 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Wake Service at Levander Funeral Home.  Visitation will resume on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
 
In lieu of flowers Memorials are suggested to the St. Michael’s Catholic Church and St. Michael’s Catholic School, Albion, NE.

Joan K. Knust, 81, of Albion, NE, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018, at the Boone County Health Center in Albion, NE. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2018 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Albion, NE with Fr. Mark Tomasiewicz, Deacon Paul Weeder, and Deacon Jim Schindel officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Bonaventure Catholic Cemetery, Raeville, NE. Visitation will be 5:30-7:30 p.m. Sunday, at the church, with a 7:30 p.m. wake service.

Joan Kay Knust, the daughter of Leander T. and Rosella M. (Werner) Petsche was born on January 4, 1937 in Raeville, NE.  She was baptized and confirmed at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Raeville.  Joan attended school at St. John Berchman’s School in Raeville through the 10th grade, then graduated from St. John’s Catholic School in Petersburg, NE in 1955.


On October 25, 1956 Joan was united in marriage to Mark A. Knust at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Raeville, NE.  The couple lived for one year in Lawton, OK while Mark was in the service.  They moved to a farm a mile south of Raeville, NE where they raised their six children. In 1991 the couple moved to a farm two miles east and two miles south of Petersburg, and in October of 2006 they moved to Albion, NE.  Joan worked as a full-time wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.   She also enjoyed gardening, baking, embroidery, and making crafts for her grandchildren. Joan had a passion for quilting.  She was a member of the Raeville Quilters and later the Korner Quilters.


Joan was a member of the St. Bonaventure Catholic Church and the Raeville Christian Mothers for 50 years.  When they moved to Albion, Joan and Mark became members of St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
            
Joan is survived by her husband Mark of Albion, NE; six children: Nancy (Bob) Luettel of Albion, NE; Floyd (Ann) Knust of Neligh, NE; Mark (Marcia) Knust, Jr. of Newman Grove, NE; Jolene Day of Lincoln, NE; Rita (Brian) Liss of Albion, NE; Lee (Amy) Knust of Lincoln, NE; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren: Kelly and Shane Eckhoff, and children Madisen, Lexie, and Landen; Amy and Jason Olnes, and children Taylor, Avery, and Dalton; Janelle and Ryan Tisthammer, and children Keiley, Karlie, and Sydney; Ashley and Ben Su, and daughter Addison; Andrew and Alicia Knust, and children Emma and Daniel; Jennifer and Will Henry, and children Liam, Jael, and Onyx; Jesse Knust; Bridget and Tanner Bollig; Jasper and Tamra Day; Leilani Day and son Korben; Kyle and Sarah Liss, and daughter Quinn; Kevin Liss and fiancé Ashlyn Brockhaus; Jordan Knust; and Justin Knust; six sisters: Ellen (Lawrence) Stuhr; Susan (Gerald) Borer; Ruth (Ken) Kerkman; Mary (Joe) Henn; Lori (Bob) Henn; Sharon (Bill) Ketteler; four brothers: David (Luana) Petsche; Donald (Shirley) Petsche; Joseph (Ev) Petsche; Charles (Pat) Petsche; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

            
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Leah Petsche, and great-grandson Noah Liss.
