A winter weather advisory is currently in affect for Boone County until noon on Wednesday.

Snow has begun to fall across northeast Nebraska, with the heaviest snowfall expected to come between 10 p.m and 2 a.m. Snow will continue to fall into the morning on Wednesday. Three to six inches is expected to accumulate throughout the county.

A winter weather advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities and use caution while driving.
