Five St. Edward athletes competed Friday during the first day of the Class D state track and field meet in Omaha.
Kennan Rasmussen was a double-qualifier in hurdles. He finished the 110 hurdles in 17.47 and ran 44.53 in the 300 hurdles. He did not advance to the finals in either event.
In the 200, Noah Micek ran a 24.10 while Jonah Micek ran the 400 prelims in 53.55. Neither qualified for the finals. Bryce Bryce Hoffmeister threw the shot put 39-7.25.
Shonda Shanle competed in the 300 hurdles, finishing with a time of 49.63.
