Funeral Services For Wilma R. Tschudin

Wilma R. Tschudin, 88 of Albion, NE died on Monday, October 17, 2016 at the Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center in Albion, NE.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 am Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Albion with Rev. David Frerichs officiating.  Burial will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion, NE.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family.

Wilma Rose Tschudin, the daughter of Jean and Minnie (Haas) Stangeland was born on October 28, 1927 on a farm north of Albion, NE.   She was baptized on November 27, 1927 and later confirmed on June 1, 1941 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Albion.  Wilma attended Albion Public Schools and graduated from Albion High School in 1944.

On January 10, 1954 Wilma was united in marriage to Arnold G. Tschudin at the Zion Lutheran Church.  The couple lived in Columbus and Elgin before moving to Albion in 1960 where Arnold worked for a farmer and later they had their own farm.  Arnold passed away in 1968.  In 1975 Wilma started working at the Shopper  in Albion.  She retired from there in 1995.

Wilma was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Albion.  She was a member of the ALCW there.  Wilma enjoyed attending church, baking, crocheting, quilting, sewing and family dinners.

Wilma is survived by her son Arlen Tschudin of Norfolk, NE; several nieces, nephews, her cousin Mildred Jasa of Albion, NE; along with many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Arnold; sister Margaret Stangland; and brother Arnold Stangland.

Rest in peace, Wilma. It was fun growing up and working with you at The Shopper. Thank you so much for teaching me the secret to making great pies. You will be missed.
