Funeral Services For Maxine McDuffee

Maxine McDuffee, 99, of Glasco, KS formerly of Primrose, NE passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017 at The Nicol Home in Glasco, KS.
 
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the Presbyterian Church in Primrose, NE. Burial will follow in Dublin Cemetery, Primrose, NE. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Levander Funeral Home in Albion, NE.

Maxine McDuffee, the daughter of Archie and Jessie (Doughty) Casper was born on October 27, 1917 at Primrose, NE. She was baptized at the Primrose Methodist Church in Primrose. She attended school at Boone County School District #14 and graduated from Primrose High School in 1935. Following graduation Maxine attended Nebraska Weslyen College in Lincoln, NE for one year.

On Mary 23, 1943 Maxine was united in marriage to Bruce McDuffee at the Presbyterian Church in Primrose. They lived and farmed in Boone County where Maxine taught school for 5 years and raised her two sons. The couple later moved to Glasco, KS. In 2004 the couple moved back to Albion. Bruce passed away in 2008. Maxine continued to live in Albion until 2016 when she moved to Glasco, KS to be near family.

She is survived by two sons: Dallas (Brenda) of Glasco, KS; Bob of Aldrich MN; 10 grandchildren: David (Amy), Scott (Kimberly), Nicholas, Tyler (Melanie), Bob (Tracey), Regina, Gary (Tina), and DeeJay McDuffee; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; along with many other relatives and friends.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two granddaughters: Amy Collins and Angie Arneson.
