Funeral Services For Joseph Happ

Joseph A. Happ, 76 of Greeley, NE passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Bryan Medical Center-East in Lincoln, NE.
 
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 1, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Greeley, NE with Fr. Antony Thekkekara officiating. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Greeley, NE. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the church with a 7:00 p.m. Wake Service.  Visitation will resume Friday at 9:00 a.m. at the church.
 
Levander Funeral Home of Cedar Rapids, NE is in charge of the arrangements. 

Joseph Anthony Happ, the son of William Joseph and Lillian Annora (Manning) Happ was born on September 25, 1940 on the family farm north of Greeley. He was baptized and confirmed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Greeley, NE.  He attended school at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Greeley, NE. 

          
Following high school, Joe worked for a farmer in the Greeley area and worked a short time for a grinder company and at a garage doing tire repair in Hastings.  Joe returned to farming with his brother Ed and lived on the family farm his whole life.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Joe was a quiet soul that kept to himself, but enjoyed visiting family, farming, and watching football.

          
Joe is survived by his sister Mary Dresch of Primrose, NE; brother Jerome John Happ of San Jose, CA; nieces and nephews: James (Irene) Dresch of Primrose, NE; Theresa (Kory) Naber of Petersburg, NE; Regina (Mike) Schalk of Cedar Rapids, NE; Charles (Marieta) Dresch of Columbus, NE; Iver (Kate) Happ of Santa Clara, CA; Scott Happ of San Jose, CA; along with a number of great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

          
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Ed Happ; sisters-in-law: Verna and Susie Happ; brother-in-law Lavern Dresch; and niece Rosemary Dresch.
