JoAnn Sullivan, daughter of Raymond and Marge (LeSuer) Flanagan, was born November 3, 1946 at St. Edward, NE. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Albion and attended rural country school, St. Michael’s Elementary, graduating from Albion High School in 1964. She worked at the Boone County Bank before attending the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

On November 7, 1964 Joey was married to John Edward Kennedy, Sr. They made their home on a farm west of Loretto and moved to Primrose in 1975. Together they had three children: John, Jr., Shelly and Amy. John passed away in March of 1985.

Joey was a lifelong member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and was a member of St. Michael’s Altar Society. She served on St. Michael’s School Board and the Wolf Memorial Home Board. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, yard work, shopping, refinishing furniture and was an excellent seamstress. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, and attending all of her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events.

She is survived by her husband Pat Sullivan of Albion; four children: John Kennedy Jr. (Lou) of Primrose, Shelly Blair-Furley (Bob), Amy Kennedy-Snover (Todd), and Erin Reinhart (Alex), all of Omaha; 11 grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; a sister Jeanne McGinnis of Omaha; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
