Funeral Services For JoAnn Nore

JoAnn Nore, 83 of Albion, NE passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at the Boone County Health Center in Albion, NE.

Funeral services are 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church in Albion, NE with Rev. David Frerichs officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion, NE. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at Levander Funeral Home in Albion, NE.

JoAnn Nore, daughter of True Valier and Lettie Emelia (Hatlestad) Wilson, was born July 9, 1932 at Clear Lake, IA. She moved with her family to Albion, NE where she was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church. She attended Albion Public School, graduating with the Class of 1950. 

On July 8, 1950, JoAnn married Jerry M. Nore at Zion Lutheran Church in Albion. They made their home on a farm northeast of Albion where JoAnn was a homemaker, helped her husband on the farm and raised their two sons: Jim and Joel. She continued living on the farm until she moved to the Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Home at Albion in 2007, due to her health.

JoAnn was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Zion Lutheran Women’s group and the Happy Homemakers extension club. She enjoyed reading, cooking and most of all, making sure her family was cared for.

She is survived by her sons: Joel Nore of Albion, NE; James (Jaci) Nore of Grand Island, NE; two grandsons: Jeremy (Bridget) Nore of Kearney, NE; Josh (Jill) Nore of Albion, NE; eight great-grandchildren: Jacee, Olivia and Lauren Nore of Kearney, NE; Jacob, Julia, Aiden, Hope and Grace Nore of Albion, NE; one brother: Bob (Arlene) Wilson of Albion, NE; one sister-in-law: Charlotte Wilson of Randolph, IA; along with other relatives and friends. 

JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband Jerry in 2006; her parents True and Lettie Wilson; one brother Dean Wilson; and one sister Yvonne Reynolds.
