Ardith was a loving mother, housewife and a hardworking farm wife. In 2002, they built a new home a few miles from the church in Akron, and Ardith continued living there after Clinton died in 2011.

Ardith was a member of the Loretto United Methodist Church and the Akron Jolly Neighbor Club. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She and Clinton enjoyed traveling and spending countless hours camping and fishing. She enjoyed gardening and had a “green thumb” when it came to any plant. She did a lot of embroidery, working very hard making blankets for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her four children: Linda (Wes) Green of Springfield, NE; Deb (Roy) Schilousky, Peggy Nelson and John Peterson, all of Albion; 10 grandchildren: Megan (Christian) Thom, Mackenzie and Nicholas Green, all of Omaha, NE, Alicia (Michael) Kuester of Norfolk, NE, Christopher (Lynzee) Nelson, Taylor Nelson (Shayla Ranslem), all of Albion, NE, Levi (Sammi) Meysenburg of Spalding, NE, Andy (Jodi) Peterson of Scottsbluff, NE, Jacki Peterson (Isaiah Bauld) of Spalding, NE, Lacey Jo Peterson of Cedar Rapids, NE; 11 great-grandchildren: Spencer and Olivia Thom, Amelia and Hudson Kuester, Harper and Ellie Nelson, Emilyn Nelson, Riata Peterson, Jackson, Becca and Johnathan Bauld, along with three great-grandchildren on the way; one brother Larry (Kathy) Young of Albion, NE; one sister Bev (Wayne) Buller of Albion, NE; along with many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
