Funeral Services For Anna Marie Haggerty

Anna Marie Haggerty, 91 of Spalding, NE passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Greeley Care Home in Greeley, Nebraska.
 
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Spalding, NE with Fr. Antony Thekkekara and Fr. James Murphy officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at the church with a 7:00 p.m. Wake Service.  Burial will be at the St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery, Spalding, NE.  Dolce-Scheef Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.

Anna Marie Haggerty, the daughter of John and Loretta (Rutledge) Ringlein was born at Creston, NE.  Her family moved to Spaldingwhere she graduated from Spalding Public School in 1943.

On May 29, 1947 Anna Marie was united in marraige to Charles Haggerty at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Spalding, NE. To this union four children were born: Mike, Regina, Tim, and Angela.  The couple lived and farmed southeast of Spalding, NE.  In 1968 Anna Marie received her Licensed Practical Nursing degree from University of  Kearney.  She worked at the Boone County Health Center as an LPN until retirement. 

Anna Marie was a member of the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Spalding, NE as well as the St. Ann’s Altar Society.  She enjoyed reading and sewing stuffed animals.

Anna Marie is survived by three children: Regina (Lou) Rohan of Ord, NE; Tim (Maureen) Haggerty of O’Neill, NE; Angie (Jerry) Buhrman of O’Fallon, IL; daughter-in-law: Colleen Haggerty of Minden, IA; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; two brothers: Tom (Sara) Ringlein of Malcesine, CA; Ron (Pat) Ringlein of Belgrade, MT; along with other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Mike, sister Mildred (Paul) Woodley, and brother Jim Gormley.
