  Students donned their backpacks and headed back to their classrooms at Riverside Public Schools in Cedar Rapids and Spalding this morning, August 14th. All are invited to the Riverside Communities Back to School Picnic, to be held at the Spalding City Park at 6:30 pm this evening, with the ribbon cutting for the new Multi-purpose Gym and Cafeteria in front of the grandstand at 7:30 pm. The facility will be open for tours following the ribbon cutting ceremony. The Riverside back-to-school newsletter is full of information for parents and students, and may be accessed here.
