Law enforcement is searching for an unidentified individual in a cornfield just south of Humphrey.
UPDATED: A law enforcement source has confirmed that a white Menards box truck was involved in a pursuit out of Norfolk south on HWY 81. That same box truck has been scene being towed from the cornfield involved in the current man hunt. Nebraska State Troopers and deputies from Platte and Madison County have closed 445 St. westbound of HWY 81 as an NSP helicopter circles a cornfield one half-mile west of the intersection. According to a clerk at Club 81, a police dispatcher had called the convenience store asking whether there had been anyone suspicious in the area, and urged her to call them if she saw anything suspicious. The manhunt does not currently include the city of Humphrey at this time. Police on the scene were unable to comment pending their search. From News Partner News Channel Nebraska |
