A farm accident east of Newman Grove has taken the life of a Lindsay resident on Tuesday evening.
According the Madison County Sheriff’s investigator Christian Hjorth, Ronald Konz of Lindsay was operating a tractor when it overturned into a creek. The overturned tractor was found in the area of 823 road and 538 avenue on private property, it’s believed by investigators that Konz was moving hay bales at the time.
When deputies arrived on scene they discovered that Konz had died from the injuries he sustained in the accident. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation into details of the accident.
The Platte County Sheriff’s Department, Newman Grove Police Department and the Newman Grove Fire and Rescue assisted The Madison County Sheriff’s Department with the investigation.
