Boone Central/Newman Grove's Jared Zwiener and Ashlynn Baker both picked up medals on Friday at the state track meet while Sheldon Beierman advanced to the finals of two events.
Baker set a new school record in the 3,200 with a time of 11:45.16 while Zwiener finished eighth in the pole vault, going 13-6 for the Cardinals.
Beierman qualified for the finals in both hurdle events. She ran the 100 hurdles in 15.54 and 300 hurdles in 46.82 seconds.
In other results Friday, Scott Ketteler just missed the finals in the 110 hurdles with a ninth-place finish of 15.59. Damian Backus also came up just short of finals in the 100, finishing 10th in 11.22 seconds.
Isaac Sullivan threw the shot put 45-8.25 for 13th place. Kyle Kramer went 6-0 in the high jump to tie for 14th.
Christina Soto-Stopack ran the 3,200 in 12:22.87 to place 17th.
