Tammy Reigle has been with the Boone county health center for 23 years.
Starting out as a receptionist, she has held many different positions and was there for all the growth that has happened at the hospital.
She has worked, earned a degree, and been a mom and wife all while having a smile on her face.
“It was a challenge.”
That is why she was awarded the kind and caring award this year during national hospital week.
"I knew that I was nominated because they advertise who is nominated," Reigle explained, "But I never thought I would win, so it’s a huge honor."
And win, she did.
A ceremony was held earlier this week where she was recognized for her dedication.
But she believes that it is not just her who should be recognized.
“We have such a great team here that I feel like there isn’t anyone in this hospital that really, wouldn’t qualify for the award.”
Reigle says that the small, close knit community creates a wonderful work environment.
Even though she has the job of project manager, she still seems to be everywhere, and helping everyone.
