Gentrup's Big Night Halts Cardinal Losing Streak

Going into Friday night's game with Ord, Boone Central/Newman Grove was on a three-game losing streak.

Dylan Gentrup made sure to put a stop to that.

Gentrup had a huge night to lead his Cardinals to a 43-22 win over the Chanticleers. He completed 11 of his 17 passing attempts on the night for 219 yards and two touchdowns. He added three more touchdowns and 150 yards on the ground as well.

Gentrup's primary target was Cody Nelson who hauled in six catches for 135 yards and a score. Levi Krueger hauled in a 26 yard catch for the other Cardinal passing score.

Defensively, Gentrup added an interception to help the Cardinals' cause. Michael Murcek was the leading tackler for Boone Central/Newman Grove, racking up nine total tackles and an assisted sack with Trey Zoucha.
