Rod Johnson claimed majority vote for the District 4 office of Public Service Commissioner.
In the unofficial results, Rod Johnson had 57.87 percent of the recorded votes followed by Tammy Cheatum at 25.51 percent and Dakota Delka at 16.29 percent.
It was a close race for District 2 County Commissioner on Tuesdays election.
In the unofficial results, Tom Fick was winner by a slim margin with 27.56 percent, Steven Rasmussen closely followed with 27.11 percent, Trevor VanDewalle had 23.01 percent and Richie Beister ended the election with 22.32.
Fick says with the close call he expects a recount and this is not the first time he has been in this situation.
When he ran the first time, Fick lost by four votes.
This is Fick’s third time running because he believes that he can provide the leadership needed for the county.
“I am very qualified with my experience and education.” Fick said, “I feel like I can give back to the community and the county.”
Fick said that this decision was a long term choice and he plans to keep running as long as he gets reelected.
