Cardinals Knock Off #5 Rated Pierce Bluejays

It was another good night on the road for Boone Central/Newman Grove last Friday.

The Cardinals came back with a 49-28 victory, knocking of the #5 rated Pierce Bluejays.

Senior Damian Backus rushed for 237 of the team's 432 yards. The Cardinals also had 65 passing yards all from senior Blaine Kennedy.

This will put the team at the #5 position in the AP Football rankings for class C1. 

The 5-1 team will be seeking their next victory at home this Friday against Madison.
