It was a case of the immovable object meeting the unstoppable force Friday night in Albion as O'Neill brought their impenetrable defense to town to face Boone Central/Newman Grove's high-octane offense.

This time, the immovable object won out as O'Neill shut out the Cardinals 38-0.

The Cardinals gave up one touchdown in the first quarter before the flood gates opened with a 12 point second quarter and a 20 point third quarter gave the Eagles a lead they wouldn't relinquish.

The loss drops the Cardinals to 2-1 on the season. They look to rebound next week as they travel to Norfolk Catholic.

Other Boone County results from Friday night:
Riverside takes down Hampton 73-12 behind Noah Valasek's 290 total yards of offense and five touchdowns.
St. Edward moves to 2-0 with a 62-32 win over Heartland Lutheran.
