Friday afternoon, thunderstorms sprang up just west of Albion, dumping heavy rain and some hail over the town and surrounding area.

The heavy rain caused some flooding in the area, and the Albion Family Aquatic Center became even wetter due to overflow that invaded the water park's boundaries. Unfortunately, the pool will remain closed until the muddy waters recede, and the pool is back to regular working condition, for health and safety reasons.

According to the water park's Facebook page, "We are frequently vacuuming and brushing while the pool filters do their thing. We will re-open to the public as soon as the main drain in the deep part of the pool is visible."
