At 11:01 p.m., the National Weather Service issued the warning due to a storm located 7 miles west of Petersburg or 39 miles northeast of Ord, moving east at 45 mph. Wind gusts up to 70 mph are possible with this storm. Locations impacted will be Albion, Neligh, Elgin, Petersburg, Oakdale and Loretto. A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Northeast Nebraska, including Boone County, until 2 a.m.
